DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position is a specialized role that involves providing comprehensive support to the Cornplanter Forest District Manager across a range of functions, including administrative tasks, operational duties, communication efforts, personnel management, office administration, employee relations, public relations, and clerical responsibilities. The individual in this role is expected to exercise independent judgment and take initiative, ensuring that they accurately interpret and apply the policies and procedures set forth by the Commonwealth, the Department, and the Bureau in relation to all administrative and district-related activities. This requires a strong understanding of the relevant guidelines and the ability to navigate complex situations effectively, making this position crucial for the smooth operation of the district's functions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • This position will require travel and overtime as needed.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 1 day per month. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Warren. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
