Job Summary

The Program Coordinator supports the Associate Director in all operational aspects of 92NY's School Engagement in the Arts, which provides dynamic arts education programs for K through 12 students and teachers in schools. The Program Coordinator is responsible for a range of administrative and coordinative duties, including supporting the School Engagement cohort of Teaching Artists in residence with schools across New York City and beyond, liaising with personnel at collaborating schools, assisting with school-based logistics, and contributing to new school recruitment.



Job Responsibilities Include

    Support the Associate Director in the implementation of all aspects of department programs.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll and record payments for invoices associated with school-based programs.
  • Support cohort of Teaching Artists and coordinates their teaching schedules for school-based programs.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and school personnel in School Engagement's programs across 50+ schools.
  • Assist with evaluation of School Engagement's programs by conducting school-based observations of Teaching Artists, developing, and disseminating post-event surveys to school personnel, organizing focus groups, and conducting regular check-ins with school personnel.
  • Assist with logistical and production arrangements for workshops and performances.
  • Assist with the submission and tracking of program expenses and maintain database, records, correspondence, evaluations, and files.
  • Assist with new-school recruitment, including managing communications with new school prospects, responding to enquiries, and onboarding new schools.
  • Additional related duties may be assigned as required.


Experience, Education, & Skills Desired

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years' experience working in an administration setting, preferred
  • Understanding of and familiarity with NYC Department of Education internal systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with diplomacy and clarity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with program stakeholders.
  • Possess strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Possess problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and strong record-keeping ability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills accompanied by a strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel and database management.
  • Proficiency in Spanish desirable.


Work Environment & Requirements

40 hours/week; 9am - 6pm with a one-hour unpaid meal break.

Compensation Range

$50,000 - $57,500

The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
