POSITION SUMMARY



Director, Division Business Performance will be primarily responsible for administering the company's operational governance processes within a Division, to ensure peak program-level performance within a strong business control environment. Critical operations governance processes include, but are not limited to Key Performance Indicators, Trend analysis and root-cause analysis, Program Management Reviews, Performance and Process Improvement initiatives, Quality Assurance Reviews, and other corporate initiatives as identified. This role will be expected to collaborate on improved standards for operational program/contract success within the Division and across Divisions, identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to ensure consistent, high-quality results. Operating under the Senior Director of Business Performance, this role will bridge company standards, Division level operational and financial performance, and cross-organizational collaboration between Operations, Contracts, Procurement, Compliance/Risk Management, and Finance and Accounting.



RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Work with the Senior Director of Business Performance, and directly with the Executive Management team as needed, to define cross-division standard performance metrics and performance review programs, while identifying unique performance metrics for each Business Unit within a Division that are relevant.
  • Partner directly with a Division Executive Vice President and respective heads of the Business Units to identify areas of performance improvement needed, create strategic and tactical improvement plans, and partner for executing solutions.
  • Support the rollout and implementation of corporate governance standards Leverage Company systems and tools (financial and other) to collect and analyze data related to performance, to include identifying trends, patterns, correlations, and drill into data to identify root causes and forecast outcomes of potential solutions.
  • Setup and conduct monitoring against established performance metrics; prepare performance reporting to stakeholders, engender ownership of data and quality of data
  • As appropriate, investigate performance gaps to determine underlying causes of issues/problems and coordinate development of targeted solutions
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Support Operations teams, including coaching and training, to improve overall financial acumen, finance performance and achieve desired results
  • As needed, provide financial guidance and support for operational projects or analyses, including direct field operations support, customer requested support or other corporate requests
  • Act as a point of contact to resolve conflicts or misalignments between Finance and Operations, fostering collaboration and improving processes
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and industry standards within Company's operations
  • Support ad hoc or other data requests
  • Other duties as assigned



QUALIFICATIONS




  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred; however, work experience can be considered in lieu of 4-year degree.
  • 7+ years managerial or supervisor experience.
  • Experience working with CostPoint 8.0, Deltek T&E and COGNOS is ideal
  • Experience working with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or DFARs and its requirements.
  • Experience working with ad-hoc data query tools, ideally working knowledge of PowerBI


  • Leadership skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communications skills supporting personnel and management, including ability to tailor messaging to various levels of Management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with data, data visualizations and KPIs
  • Skilled in personal computer and business solution software, including Microsoft.
  • Good planning and organizational skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS



Business work hours are Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
