Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to safety policies and participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments.
  • Assist with instrumentation preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Gain a basic understanding of 12V and 24V DC systems, networks, and networking equipment.
  • Assist with the repair and maintenance of 12V and 24V DC systems.
  • Gain knowledge of reading network schematics and calibration software.
  • Maintain eligibility to drive company vehicles and assist other employees as directed.
  • Participate in all company-provided training programs.
  • Report unsafe acts, conditions, or hazards immediately.
  • Perform duties in compliance with customer and company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Work toward district goals and understand how to meet those objectives.
  • Perform other duties as required by the immediate supervisor.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at a level sufficient to understand and communicate verbal and written instructions.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and networks.
  • Must complete FOCUS training upon hire.
  • Ability to understand district goals and work toward achieving them.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: 0-6 months of related experience or training in electronics.
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Valid Driver's License required.
    • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred.

Additional Information:
This position provides an opportunity to develop skills in electronics maintenance and repair. The Electronics Technician 1 will be trained and mentored by more experienced technicians and will gain hands-on experience in working with electronic systems and equipment.
