Rate of Pay $16.50 - $18.05

Purpose of Position: Responsible for overseeing all farm operations. Ensure that birds are grown per Foster Farms Policy.

Decision Making Responsibilities: Chicken house environmental adjustments, proper disposal of daily mortality, operation of tractors and equipment for the clearing of chicken houses and farm maintenance, set up and placement of birds, preparation for ship out of birds, safety and environmental compliance, management of farm labor, excellent communication skills with higher authority.

Essential Job Functions:



  • Responsible for pullet performance, quality and production.

    • Controlling and maintaining bird health.
    • Monitoring all ranch functions.


  • Coordinate all ranch functions, which includes accurate completion of all records.
  • Maintain compliance to company programs, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Maintain good employer and employee relations.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum one year of successful poultry management experience.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Strong mechanical skills are preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to climb a 12-foot ladder, step into & out of fathering pit (steep stairs), bend over & pick up eggs from Floor & walk 1.5 - 5 miles per day.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to submit and pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
