IEOR is a department within the College of Engineering where researchers investigate the latest mathematical tools, approaches, and methodologies to make new theoretical discoveries and innovations that touch nearly every industry, making them more efficient and profitable in areas such as supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, data science, energy systems, robotics, and management. The University of California, Berkeley Master of Analytics degree trains students There is a very high demand for analytics professionals who have the ability to analyze large amounts of data and offer solutions critical for success. These skills are needed in every sector of the economy, including commerce, healthcare, information technology, entertainment, finance, energy, security, transportation, consulting, and many more. This position provides comprehensive administrative, facilities, HR, operational, financial, and instructional management support to the Master of Analytics Program - Career Services Team. The Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in the successful day-to-day operations of the office by providing a high level of administrative support to the Career Services Team and IEOR Unit. The position requires balancing multiple, often simultaneous, activities and prioritizing work to ensure that tasks are completed on time. The position requires a high level of student services knowledge, professionalism, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to support and work in a dynamic environment, and a high degree of personal ownership to ensure quality work products are delivered and support activities are performed in an organized manner. 50% Co-Develop/Create/Manage Master Analytics Program alumni and Current Student surveys, which includes supporting outreach plans, including approaches, trends, sources and uses. Co-lead in the creation of student information systems to utilize data driven strategies and best practices to inform student success strategies and address matters related to student retention, program marketing and admissions. Provide Master of Analytics Program with administrative support(across career services, students services, marketing, admissions, facilities and overall program planning and execution). This includes but is not limited to supporting, managing, planning and administering a range of administrative operations Career Services', Student Services, Events, Course Support, General unit and HR support. Assist with Master of Analytics program event planning, execution and set-up related duties, as needed, including but not limited to: admissions, orientation, graduation, employer visits, place-based immersions, live virtual events, annual showcases and competitions. Co-lead in creating processes to gather student information on student success platforms to maintain case management of students served including data entry, tracking and reporting and surveys(annual, semi-annual, monthly). Support and assist the MAnalytics program Student Services team with OPT requests and letter verification requests; event support such as New Student Orientation, Commencement and Visit Day; info session back-up support; event coordination with student groups. 15% Provide Master of Analytics Operation and Administrative support, including participating in developing of subunit's student support procedures and guidelines. This will include supporting, managing, planning and administering a range of administrative operations around Career Services, Student Services, Admissions, Student/Employer Events, Course Support(In-Person + Virtual), Experiential Learning, Data Analysis and Survey Outreach and Development, General unit and HR support. May include gathering, analyzing, preparing and summarizing reports around career outcomes, financial and HR reports. 10% Lead a small staff of Blum student staff, assigning schedules, hiring, establishing task roles and setting prioritizes. Coordinates and participates in a variety of human resources and onboarding responsibilities (i.e. employee training, student worker training, new student orientation, internship training) Duties include ensuring the completion of forms and documents related to above mentioned responsibilities. Co-lead all areas of student services and support, in collaboration with Career Services Team, including but not limited to: student recruitment, employer outreach, onboarding, retention, program and course policies, events, community engagement, internship performance-approval and progress, alumni support and maintaining shared inbox. 10% Oversee Blum facilities and space logistics and manages equipment/access needs, which includes but is not limited to developing and implementing building reservations policies, procedures, overseeing student space supply inventory and maintaining equipment including creating and updating AV guideline and resources for Blum Rooms, Classroom and Conference Space Reservations). Support and assist in the MAnalytics program Marketing, this may include but not be limited to fact-checking, proofreading, and ensuring adherence to brand and style guidelines for the following: internal announcements, social media posts, event blurbs, and newsletter content, gather and organize content ideas. Support includes publishing news items, event listings, and resource updates on the Master of Analytics website: Maintain accurate and up-to-date website links, contact information, and downloadable resources.
