We're seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager in our Atlanta, GA office to help us take vision to value and create lasting impact.
SUMMARY:
The Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible for the management and integrity of the customer contract and revenue process, as well as the related financial reporting.
YOU WILL:
Own the end-to-end revenue cycle, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and firm policies
Lead and mentor direct reports on the team, setting performance goals and conducting evaluations to enhance team performance and accountability
Review and analyze contracts for appropriate revenue recognition treatment
Serve as the Workday subject matter expert for all contracts, projects, and billable transactions
Determine best practices and processes for contract setup and revenue accounting in Workday; implement process improvements and enhancements throughout the function
Review key analyses and account reconciliations for revenue, deferred revenue, and WIP accounts
Partner with finance and operations to ensure changes in projects are properly reflected in the system
Continuously seek to improve and refine revenue accounting processes, policies, and controls
Conduct necessary research and lead implementation efforts associated with strategic firm initiatives that impact revenue recognition
Draft memos to communicate proper GAAP treatment for significant transactions
Assist with the execution of the year-end financial and other ad hoc audits
Partner with finance to explain revenue trends and forecast variances
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external accounting standards
Collaborate with IT to leverage system capabilities, continuously improve processes, and ensure data quality

IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:
Bachelor's degree in accounting
ASC 606 Experience
4+ years of public accounting, preferably auditing, or related industry experience
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office
Expert with Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.
Workday experience, a plus
