The Equipment Engineer role(an Engineer who works on equipment inside a Semiconductor Manufacturing Fab) is the position for you, where you will work with our advanced deposition team to maintain and upgrade equipment to be able to evaluate next generation processes in the semiconductor industry. Shift: Day Shift The Day to Day (Responsibilities):
  • Work in a clean room environment wearing protective and lightweight clothing, i.e. Bunny suit, hood, booties, safety glasses, and gloves, as well as safety boots.
  • Performs on-site installation, troubleshoot, service, repair of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, and Performs upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed.
  • Orders and installs parts, maintain inventory of spare parts
  • Use technical writing skills to create Operating Procedures
  • Develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
  • Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
  • Interface with external vendors on outsourced products and services
  • Handle contaminated parts, with appropriate PPE, to rebuilt reactors when implementing new modifications
  • Handle chemical ampoules independently after being trained by senior engineers
What to expect Within the first week
  • Complete on-board orientation, safety training, other company and site required training
  • Gain access to the cleanroom and other work areas for job shadowing opportunities
  • Become familiar with how the team communicates using tools such as MS Teams/email.
Within the first month
  • Become familiar with group goals and your role to meet those goals
  • Shadow both hardware and process engineers working in the cleanroom and other work areas
  • Pick up at least one independent activity from another team member
Within the first three months
  • Be working independently on several projects
  • Write up weekly passdown on all projects including progress, gaps, timelines and needed parts
Preferred Skills and Education
  • Associates Degree or related work experience; completion of military technical training and field experience may substitute for an Associate's Degree. Must be legally authorized to work in US without sponsorship.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starting individual with strong technical and hands-on skills
  • Experienced with wide range of hand tools and power tools used for assembling hardware components
  • Able to read and create electrical diagrams
  • Possess basic knowledge of safely handling acids and solvents
  • Understanding of vacuum systems fundamentals and integral hardware components to achieve and measure low vacuum state
  • Ability to lift at least 35 lbs.
  • Basic professional communication skills and ability to build constructive workplace business relationships.
  • Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both TEL and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s).
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and knowledge in any of the following: pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, vacuum, or thermodynamics
  • Project Management training recommended
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job duties are often performed in small, confined areas in a clean room environment, in stretched awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Duties also include application of proper industry safety procedures when working with dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents, or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional travel to TEL factories, training facilities and customer locations may be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. A clean room garment may be required to be worn for lengthy periods of time.PPE is required including, not limited to, consistent wearing of safety glasses, safety shoes and a bump cap. Salary Ranges$76,200.02 - $107,625.05

Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
