Job Summary: We are seeking a Claims Vendor Analyst to manage vendor relationships and support Property & Casualty (P&C) claims operations. This role involves integrating suppliers into systems, diversifying vendor portfolios, and aligning technology roadmaps. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong vendor management and contract negotiation experience, combined with a solid understanding of P&C claims (Auto preferred). Key Responsibilities: * Execute back-office insurance processes such as new business setup, agency management, claims support, underwriting assistance, and policy servicing. * Gather and collate information for new accounts or renewals for premium assessment. * Assist agencies with licensing, onboarding, training, and resolving queries. * Review claim payments for accuracy (e.g., duplicate payments, incorrect payees) and ensure proper administration of claims. * Perform screening and due diligence of applications; upload data into file management systems to support underwriters. * Ensure premiums are applied per customer choices and risk classifications. * Support underwriting and post-underwriting reviews, including exception handling. * Handle policy servicing activities such as renewals, changes, reinstatements, and certificate reissues. * Assist process leads with workflow management and delegation. Strategic Focus Areas: * Supplier Integration: Integrate claims suppliers/vendors into systems (Guidewire experience and API/integration knowledge preferred). * Supplier Diversification: Build a diversified vendor portfolio to reduce reliance on sole-source vendors and ensure fair pricing. * Roadmaps & Scorecards: Develop vendor scorecards with KPIs and SLAs; leverage data analytics to manage operational metrics. * Technology Alignment: Align vendor roadmaps with organizational technology roadmaps; perform process mapping across IT and business functions. * Supplier Outage Framework: Create proactive infrastructure to manage and stabilize supplier outages before issues occur. Required Skills & Qualifications: * Contract Negotiation: 5+ years * Vendor Management: 5+ years * P&C Claims Experience (Auto preferred): 3+ years * Strong Excel and Microsoft Suite skills (Excel-heavy role) * Data analytics experience * Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity * Experience building and executing contracts (new and renewal) Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX.
