What to Expect

Tesla's Cell Manufacturing Engineering Team is looking for a highly motivated Engineering Technician to accelerate our next-generation battery cell manufacturing program. This role will support thepilot dry cathode mixing line andnewadvanced mixing technologies. The position is very hands-on and will require operation of test equipment and pilot production equipment.Attention to detail, along with the strong analytical skillsacquired, will be an essential aspect of the job responsibilities. Exceptional communication abilities and the adaptability to engage with cross-functional technical teams are imperative.


What You'll Do
  • Supportpilot-scale material process development and operation
  • Execute on laboratory duties as required by engineering staff

  • Analyzeprocesstrends and control charts toidentifyand prevent process excursions

  • Perform processing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and identify/procurereplacement parts

  • Maintain and manageraw materials and finished goods inventory


What You'll Bring
  • 1+ years of experience in a technician role, preferred experience withhandling battery materials and/or chemicals
  • Ability to converse technically with engineers and learn new systems quickly

  • Working knowledge of Windows and MS Office

  • Demonstrated experience following written/verbal standard operating procedures (SOP's)

  • Maintain clean and safe work area and support other projects as needed by management as business needs change

  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal

Essential Physical Demands:

  • Climb andmaintainbalance on ladders

  • Physical maneuvering of materials, requiring ability to lift35pounds

  • Pass pulmonary function tests and physical exam forPAPRrespirator use

    Expected Compensation
    $30.50 - $58.33/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
