What to Expect
Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start May 2026 and continue through summer term (ending approximately August 2026 or later, if available). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. What You'll Do
- As a Production Lead Intern you will deliver projects in improving manufacturing lines, including (but not limited to) associate safety, quality, throughput and cost
- Develop and maintain standardized work instructions used in production by the production associates
- Support the development of Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify critical risks in the production processes with the Manufacturing Process Engineers
- Develop training programs and hiring plans for production associates
- Support of control plans to assure critical features are controlled through the production process
What You'll Bring
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, MBA, Industrial, Manufacturing or a related field
- Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and concepts; plus to showing application of these principles leading to real world results
- High comfort level in high expectations environment
- Experience with broad variety of measurement and inspection techniques
- Ability to work with and develop production performance metrics (safety, quality, delivery & costs)
- Strong analytic problem solving skills
- Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
- Remain engaged, proactive and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for their success
- Experience in hiring and developing new team members in a production/operations environment and workingefficiently and productively in both independent and team settings
- Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills, strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail and fluent with common MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
