Job Summary

This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing safety programs that support a safe work environment across all project sites. The position oversees accident prevention initiatives, facilitates training, conducts jobsite assessments, and collaborates with project leadership to ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations. The individual in this role will provide guidance, support, and corrective action recommendations to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

* Develop and manage the administration of project and company accident prevention programs.

* Develop and facilitate safety training programs to support employee competency and compliance.

* Conduct work area assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.

* Develop, organize, and implement safety programs that align with company safety standards.

* Perform and document jobsite inspections and audits with a focus on hazard recognition and unsafe behaviors.

* Coordinate and lead safety meetings and training sessions to ensure consistent communication across teams.

* Participate in regulatory inspections and investigations to support compliance with federal and state requirements.

* Review job hazard analyses for major project phases to ensure accuracy and completeness.

* Support field leadership in the development and refinement of job hazard analyses.

* Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs through daily field walks and compliance audits.

* Meet regularly with field personnel to develop corrective action plans addressing safety concerns.

* Provide constructive feedback to project leadership regarding safety performance and improvement opportunities.

* Assist with delivering jobsite-specific safety orientations for new employees.

* Support incident investigations, including documentation and follow-up actions.

* Facilitate the management of injury and illness cases.

Job Requirements

* Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience.

* One to three years of construction safety experience; electrical safety experience preferred.

* OSHA 30 Construction certification required.

* Experience working with a union workforce preferred.

* Ability to work independently with strong communication and influence skills.

* Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

Education

* Bachelor's degree required.
