GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Senior Systems analyst is responsible but not limited to the support and maintenance of the designated environment within Henry Ford Health System. The Sr. Systems Analyst will support, and may lead, the planning, implementation, and support of enterprise software and services. The primary focus of this role will be within the Microsoft Office 365 space with an emphasis on enterprise level service administration. Working knowledge of Office 365 applications and administration within the suite is expected. This position is part of a tier 3 IT team that is accountable for production support, including on-call duties in a 24x7 environment, as well as new projects. The ideal candidate will have supported application technology projects, supported management and users on new functionality and changes to existing applications. Under supervision of senior resources and management, you will communicate solutions, issues, and risks directly to technical management or other responsible entities. A high degree of interaction with users, technical teams, and critical stakeholders is expected. Perform configuration, change management and testing activities as required. Consults with end users on technology changes that will impact work processes. He or she will have coached, trained, and mentored staff in technical roles.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) or more years of infrastructure hosting experience working in a technical capacity.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure service architecture patterns, design methodologies and frameworks.
  • Depth of understanding within the O365 management portals.
  • Experience managing and administering O365 applications such as SharePoint, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive.
  • Experience with Microsoft EntraID, Tenant Roles, and Assigning Permissions
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Exchange Online
  • Experience with programmatic and scripting interactions with Office 365 required
  • 3-5 years of Microsoft 365 Administration or similar role required:
    • SharePoint site-level administration required.
    • Microsoft Teams administration required.
    • Outlook administration required.
    • Exchange administration required.
    • OneDrive administration required.
  • Management and operation experience with multi-tier systems and applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • Technical Certifications preferred.
  • ITIL Certified preferred.

PRINICIPLE DUTIES:

  • Provide tier 2/3 support of a fast passed, diverse, Office 365 environment.
  • Assist senior staff in operational tasks.
  • Evaluate, Onboard, and Operationalize new Office 365 features and configurations.
  • Partner with external teams to facilitate solutioning, troubleshooting, and support.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and security, and proactively address any issues of Microsoft 365 services.
  • Create and maintain documentation for Microsoft 365 configurations and procedures.
  • Provide technical support to end-users for Microsoft 365 related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Microsoft 365 applications and services.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Ability to keep pace with the evolving Microsoft landscape and report on the impact of change.
  • Experience with Entra ID concepts, Synchronization, Logging, and user troubleshooting
  • Experience with Microsoft Conditional Access policy.
  • Experience with OneDrive client and application troubleshooting
  • Experience in Exchange Online - Shared Mailbox, Distribution Lists, Mailbox Provisioning, Mail flow troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of Office 365 client-side applications - Office apps, Teams, Outlook, OneDrive
  • Understanding of Exchange Hybrid environment
  • Experience with Service Now service management software preferred.
  • Advanced diagnostic and advanced problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience working in a diverse environment of incident management, service requests, escalation procedures, and related disciplines.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to peer review functional and technical tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • On-Call may be required
