Summary


Redwire Space Solutions in Longmont, CO, has an opportunity for RF Test Technicians. This role will be responsible for Environmental testing and test equipment in our Longmont, CO facility, as well as participating in onsite and offsite testing at an environmental testing vendor supporting Redwire hardware. We are building active and passive RF systems for new space-based communications architectures. You will interface with the project, design, and operations teams to assist in the technical development of the testing demand.
Responsibilities


  • Perform environmental testing of aerospace mechanisms using established procedures. Tests include static load, thermal vacuum, benchtop operation, separation, shock, and vibration
  • Operate spaceflight hardware and test fixtures using data acquisition system and established procedures
  • Attach and remove components on spaceflight hardware
  • Inspect mechanical and electrical components after test completion
  • Perform maintenance on test fixtures
  • Idea generation of potential process improvements
  • Assist with non-conformance investigations


Ideal Experience


  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Technical Degree with 0-2 years of experience or High school diploma or equivalent with 6 or more years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with common aerospace assembly and inspection tools. e.g. torque wrenches, load cells, feeler gauges, calipers, multimeters
  • Experience assisting with writing technical work instructions related to Environmental Testing (Thermal, TVAC, Vibe, antenna and RF testing)
  • Understanding and experience with quality management systems such as AS9100
  • Excellent manual dexterity, ability to handle small parts such as fasteners as small as #0-80
  • Experience using electronics equipment (e.g. DMMs, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power supplies, DAQs, VNA's, Spectrum Analyzers, ESD protocols etc.)


Desired Skills


  • Strong technical capability and mechanical inclination, with ability to follow and execute procedures
  • J-STD or NASA soldering with space addendum certified - preferred
  • IPC or NASA harnessing certified - preferred
  • Experience working in an Aerospace cleanroom environment - preferred
  • Experiencing with all aspects of microwave testing and test equipment
  • Understanding of advanced electronic circuitry
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as autonomously
  • Ability to provide intuitive and timely solutions for immediate prototype production
  • Effective communication abilities, attention to detail and self-motivated
  • Possess strong problem solving and communication abilities
  • High standard of quality workmanship
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills

Pay Rate
$32.00 - $40.00 plus agency fee
How We Determine What We Pay (Compensation Philosophy)
Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout the US. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.
For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant's level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate, the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will receive higher pay.
