The Professional Science Master's Program (
PSM) invites applications for an
NTT Assistant Teaching Professor appointment focused on Business & Science. This is a non-tenure-track (
NTT) academic position designed for experienced practitioners with substantial expertise in applying business principles to scientific and technical industries. The appointment begins January 2026, with renewal contingent on performance and funding. The
NTT Assistant Teaching Professor will teach and develop courses at the intersection of science, technology, and business-such as intellectual property management, and related areas. The role also emphasizes external engagement, and industry partnership development.
Responsibilities Include:
- Teaching courses in business and science, including (but not limited to) innovation management, regulatory affairs, project management, IP, leadership, and applied industry practices.
- Developing and redesigning curricula across graduate and continuing education programs in traditional, hybrid, and fully online formats.
- Overseeing the development, outreach, and delivery of new, innovative course offerings-domestically and internationally-for global learners and industry partners.
- Assisting the program with outreach and partnership development, including cultivating and maintaining relationships with industry and employer organizations.
- Supporting experiential learning, mentorship, and fieldwork oversight for PSM students.
- Conducting applied or pedagogical research relevant to professional science education.
- Implementing evidence-based, innovative teaching practices to enhance applied, interdisciplinary learning experiences.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Applicants must have a master's degree in a related field and at least three years of teaching experience. Doctoral degree preferred.
- Teaching experience in IP, tech transfer, and related fields. Must also have experience in these areas.
- Experience designing and delivering graduate-level or continuing education courses, including online and hybrid formats.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing curricula for professional or international audiences.
- Experience building and maintaining industry partnerships and facilitating applied learning or experiential programs.
