About This Role
This Dairy Teaching and Research Center (DTRC) is seeking applicants for a full-time Animal Technician II. Work schedules will depend on the needs determined by the DTRC manager and availability of the incumbent. This position will be responsible for equipment operation, equipment, and facility maintenance, and, in a smaller portion, general animal care and milking. A successful candidate will be able to Operate machinery such as truck and trailer, tractor and other farm equipment. Candidate will also be able to perform facility maintenance and equipment maintenance such things would include oil changes in farm equipment, tire maintenance, lubricating different equipment and determining methods of rapid repair with the Farm Manager. About Us The Department of Animal Sciences and Industry (ASI) serves students, livestock producers and the animal and food industries through teaching, research and education. The Dept. of ASI prepares students for careers in the animal and food industries. Worksite Description This position is On-site. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
