Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Unit Administrator for the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies within the School of Arts and Sciences.
The Race And Gender Equity (
RAGE) Lab at Rutgers University, a humanities-based laboratory focused on supporting public-facing scholarship in the field of Black Feminism, seeks a highly-organized, and detail-oriented person, with impeccable writing and communication skills to join
RAGE Lab as the Unit Administrator. This role will support the community of scholars and students that engage in classes, research opportunities, workshops, events and meetings under the auspices of
RAGE Lab.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Schedules and coordinates all logistics for meetings, events, and programs of RAGE Lab
- Maintains the master calendar for RAGE Lab
- Handles all RAGE Lab correspondence with students, faculty, guests, and other stakeholders
- Attends the RAGE Lab weekly meeting virtually and in-person events as necessary
- Manages travel and lodging arrangements for all guests of the lab
- Coordinates the input of payment information for all guest speakers and workshop facilitators with WGSS Department Administrators
- Creates flyers and posters for events
- Supports the promotion of events through the maintenance of the RAGE Lab Master Email List and through posting to designated social media accounts
- Supports cross-institutional collaborations between RAGE Lab and other groups inside and outside of Rutgers
- Provides support for student research projects
- Provides administrative and logistical support for Principal Investigator
- Prepares reports and executive summaries and does notetaking or coordinates notetakers for meetings and convenings.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Canva or other graphic design programs, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), social media platforms, and video editing on smart phone for posting and promotion of events and initiatives.
