Position Title: Production Lead
Wage: $20.00 - $23.00/hour + Based on Experience Shift: 1st, 2nd or 3rd Hours: 5:00am - 1:30pm, 1:00pm - 9:30pm or 9:00pm - 5:30am (Monday - Friday, Overtime as Needed) We are seeking hard working individuals for our company in Reedsburg, WI. Primary Duties for Production Lead: - Coordinate departmental functions including scheduling, communicating work instructions, deploying personnel, inspecting completed tasks, and ensuring availability of required raw materials and supplies - Assist department personnel complete assigned tasks - Work with other departments to minimize delay - Ensure that proper safety and quality practices are being observed by department personnel - Train and schedule sufficient personnel to meet department schedules - Recommend personnel actions to the department supervisor about departmental performance, disciplinary action, compensation, staffing, or other personnel issues that may arise - Assist with ordering departmental supplies - Collect and record pertinent data and enter in appropriate file or database - Notify supervisor and other departments, as necessary, of quality, mechanical, delay or personnel problems and take corrective action within scope of responsibility - Utilize delay time constructively by doing housekeeping or other area improvement activities - Participate in area continuous improvement efforts including including Employee Involvement activities - Participate in production activities throughout facility (machine operating, assembly, cleaning, quality, packing, etc.) Qualifications for Production Lead: - Longevity in work history, especially in a manufacturing environment - Recent experience in manufacturing, preferably in a lead or supervisory role - Approach work assignments in a positive manner and function as a team member - High School Diploma or equivalent with over three months experience preferred - Requires decimals and fractions, drawings and formulas, adjustable measuring instruments - Some judgement to comply with instructions, follow methods, make minor decisions with continuous mental and visual attention - Moderate physical exertion with ability to lift 50 pounds; physical movement includes repetitive motion, with twisting, bending and standing for most of shift - Willing and able to wear all required PPE IND035 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
