Perform a variety of complex technical duties involved in conducting laboratory tests, experiments and determinations in support of Duke University research operations - experience in molecular biology, tissue culture preferred but not required. 35%

Keep excellent laboratory records of experiments performed. Compile, analyze, document and draw tentative conclusions from experimental results. 20%

Willing to learn new procedures. Good Laboratory Practice is essential. Process clinical samples for further analysis using standard laboratory procedures. 10%

Confer with principal investigator and senior lab members to review work assignments and develop plans for research experiments. 10%

Prepare culture media, chemicals, reagents and solutions. 10%

Maintain sufficient inventory of material, supplies and equipment for performance of duties; clean and maintain laboratory equipment. 5%

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. 5%

Good inter-personal skills and a team player in the laboratory environment. 5%
