Overview

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist and advise the Configuration Manager, Lab Manager, and Systems Test Officer in future configuration change planning to ensure the necessary training environment for utilization.
* Design and implement configuration changes that support the site lab modernization to include tactical, commercial and simulation equipment.
* Install, configure, integrate, maintain and repair commercial switching systems.
* Properly document all existing and new installation or removal of tactical/simulation equipment and lab layout changes using Configuration Change Worksheets (CCWs).
* Schedule, coordinate, and participate in the physical implementation of CCW projects.
* Work with N4 department military and civilian maintenance personnel throughout the configuration change process.
* Conduct boiler plate audit information and coordinate shipments with supply for equipment entering and leaving the building via the CCW process.
* Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education, Experience, and Skills include:

* Desired 5 years' experience and knowledge of the Aegis Combat Weapons system.
* Preferred disciplines are Aegis Display System, Aegis Computer and Peripheral systems, Aegis Computer Network Technician, SPY-1 radar, or Fire Control System.
* Candidate must have knowledge of performing corrective and preventive actions on the Aegis Combat System.
* Candidate must have a working knowledge of the various tactical interfaces required to support Aegis operations.
* Candidate must be able to read and understand cable diagrams.
* Candidate must be able to work with other teammates supporting tactical operations and maintenance at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center (ATRC), Dahlgren VA.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

* Must be able to work independently, have strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to coordinate multiple tasks.
* Superior customer service focus.
* Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
* Be a legal resident of the United States of America and possess the appropriate documents to legally work within the U.S. territory.
