Coding Trainee, Revenue Integrity/Coding Administration, Days, Onsite

This position is intended as a training role for the purpose of transitioning into a Coder role at the end of a 12 month period. During this period the employee will perform tasks relevant to several other existing positions in Coding. The position will require regular meetings with the internal education resource for coding to prepare for (AHIMA or AAPC) exam. Employees will be working with Revenue Integrity staff to become familiar with hospital finance and medical record documentation. Will be able to review Emergency Department documentation and assign charges based on that documentation. Experience with Microsoft Office Tools is necessary.

Required:

• One of: CCA or CCS or CIC-ICD or COC or CPC or RHIA or RHIT
