Agentic AI Engineer

Job Description:

The Agentic AI Engineer will lead the design, hands-on development, deployment, and continuous improvement of advanced agentic AI and autonomous technologies for both internal operations and external products. This individual will create production-ready AI systems, rapidly adapt to emerging AI techniques, and own the lifecycle of models and agents from initial ideation through monitoring and maintenance. The engineer will coordinate with cross-functional data, IT, and business teams, but retain technical accountability

Duties/ Responsibilities

• Architect, code, and deploy agentic AI systems, autonomous agents, and generative models for internal automation and customer-facing solutions.
• Own the complete AI development lifecycle: prototype, productionize, monitor, and continuously improve models and systems.
• Rapidly evaluate, adopt, and optimize new AI techniques and platforms as technology evolves.
• Support AI-driven transformation in business processes, analytics, and new offerings.
• Collaborate as needed with IT, data, security, and compliance teams to meet business and technical objectives while ensuring standards are upheld.
• Document solutions, present technical findings, and support knowledge sharing across teams.
• Adhere to privacy, security, and regulatory guidelines as required (NIST, CCPA, HIPAA, organizational standards).

Required Skills/Abilities

• Proven experience building and deploying AI models and agentic systems in enterprise environments.
• Strong proficiency with Python, R, Spark, SQL, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Deep understanding of data engineering, integration, and pipeline architecture.
• Expertise in agentic workflow design, prompt engineering, and automation orchestration.
• Skilled in troubleshooting, QA, and system performance monitoring.
• Track record of agility-quickly learning and applying new AI techniques.
• Excellent documentation and collaborative skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with technical/business stakeholders
• U.S. citizenship required

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with agentic AI and LLM orchestration platforms (e.g., Hugging Face, OpenAI APIs, Semantic Kernel
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps tooling.
• Exposure to prompt engineering, conversational AI, or RPA integrations.
• Awareness of relevant privacy, compliance, or security frameworks (NIST, CCPA, HIPAA).
• Prior consulting, client delivery, or external product development.
• Experience documenting and presenting technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders

Education and Experience:

• 3-6 years of progressive experience designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions and agentic systems in enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Information Systems, or equivalent;
• Master's degree preferred.
