The Department of Psychiatry and Institute for Juvenile Research at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is seeking dedicated and accomplished Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists (rank commensurate with experience) to join our faculty. The successful candidate will contribute to the department's mission through excellence in clinical care, teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activity. The applicant must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, with board eligibility or certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. The applicant must possess or be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Illinois, a State of Illinois Controlled Substance License, and an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration license. The Institute for Juvenile Research has been a leader in clinical care, education, and research focused on child and adolescent mental health since 1909. IJR is a leading component of UIC Psychiatry, which is one of the largest Psychiatry departments in the Midwest. We are also one of the top-ranked teaching departments at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, the largest medical school in the country, with both preclinical and clinical teaching and mentoring opportunities. Our clinical services focus on diverse and vulnerable patients, serving predominantly minority and economically underserved populations on the South and West Sides of Chicago. The UIC Department of Psychiatry is known for its basic, clinical, translational, and psychosocial research and is ranked first in NIH funding of all Chicago universities and is ranked nationally. Benefits and Compensation: The previously determined salary range for this position is $200,000.00 to $300,000.00 (commensurate with rank).
