Job Description

Shift: Morning



Responsibilities:



  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits from 24VDC-480VAC, plant facilities/networks, and production equipment (ie. Extrusion, Press, and Converting machinery)
  • Electrical and programming support (PLC and HMI)
  • Assist in new equipment installations and upgrades
  • Support with equipment breakdown/maintenance, repair of equipment after failure and practice of root cause analysis
  • Error proofing of equipment and processes
  • Support the shift resources as needed
  • Conduct SAP functions for processing work orders, ordering parts, etc.
  • Support the training of new maintenance technicians as required
  • Interact and coordinate with outside contractors as needed
  • Conduct all duties in conjunction with LOTO and electrical safety best practices
  • All other duties as assigned by Maintenace Manager and GML

Qualifications

  • Must possess a proven background in Automation Controls and Processes
  • A 2-year associates degree in industrial electronics/maintenance or related field highly desireable
  • Must provide own basic hand tools
  • Experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Experience reading electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Experience with Studio5000 software
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED



Physical Requirements:



  • Frequent bending and lifting of items up to 50 pounds as needed (Lifting of item exceeding 50 pounds but less than 100 pounds will require a two person lift)
  • Work with and around various solvents, inks, corn starch and cleaning chemicals
  • Access all work areas to include frequent climbing on stands, ladders and stairs
  • Sit, stand, stoop, squat, bend, climb and reach overhead as needed
  • Stand on concrete floors for 12-hour shifts
  • Push/pull objects as needed
  • Utilize fine motor skills (including but not limited to the use of a utility knife, scissors, tape measure, typing, writing, and hand tools)
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management at all levels
  • Must be able to follow all safety processes and procedures (LOTO, proper PPE)
  • Utilize communication skills to effectively express both oral and written ideas individually or in group settings
