The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary We are seeking two registered nurses to serve as part-time research workers at the School of Nursing. The research assistants will work on a study that includes a 12-week nurse-led behavioral intervention to reduce heart disease risk among sexual minority (e.g., lesbian, gay, bisexual, and other non-heterosexual) adults. This study will be led by Drs. Billy Caceres and Corina Lelutiu-Weinberger. Evening hours may be required. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in delivering health education and comfort in working with diverse communities. Responsibilities Conduct all research activities following study protocols and other appropriate institutional regulations, procedures, and policies, including procedures to safeguard the confidentiality of study participants; Complete in-person participant visits; Administer study questionnaires; Deliver virtual and in-person intervention sessions; Provide weekly participant and recruitment updates; Assist with database design, security, data storage, and management Assist with progress reports, data entry, and IRB protocol modifications/submissions; Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Requires an entry-level degree in Nursing Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Familiarity with electronic data capture systems Organized and able to multitask in a diverse research environment Flexibility in workload and work hours to meet deadlines and recruitment goals Capable of working effectively in research groups Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in nursing with experience in psychiatric nursing or primary care Experience in research or health education Experience conducting research involving the sexual and gender minority community or other marginalized populations.
