The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Research Associate will assist researchers in the Department of Psychiatry with two research projects investigating the implications of genetic explanations for health outcomes. This position is remote.

Responsibilities



  • Will set up and maintain study files, materials, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and institutional policies as directed by the Principal Investigators (PI).
  • Communicate with external vendors providing data collection services; and responsible for scheduling study participants.
  • Perform routine data management and analysis as needed and assist with implementation of Resource Sharing Plans.
  • Assist Principal Investigators (PI) with institutional review board (IRB) submissions and correspondence.
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program or equivalent in education, training, and experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques preferred.
  • Education, training, and research experience in psychology preferred.
  • One year of related experience.


Other Requirements



  • Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements.
  • Knowledge/experience providing general administrative support for research studies, including interfacing with University/Institutional administrative department, research participants, and/or IRB's is preferred.
  • Problem-solving, focused, organizing and coordinate schedules.
  • Equipment used frequently; telephone and computer.
