THE OPPORTUNITY This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Postdoctoral Research Scientist is an exciting one. The Department of Pediatrics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center is the top in comparison with other pediatrics department in the NY region in NIH research funding. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Mace Lab at Columbia University in New York is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a collaborative cell biology project that seeks to define determinants of lymphocyte cell migration. The ideal candidate will have experience with mammalian cell culture, advanced microscopy techniques, and image analysis software. The candidate will work closely with cutting-edge microscopy tools and collaborators working with other model organisms (C. elegans, zebrafish). They will be expected to work independently and possess good written and oral communication skills. A background in computational approaches, including modeling and image analysis, is an asset.
