Under the general direction of the Security Manager, the Shift Supervisor may oversee UC San Diego Health System security staff at either Hillcrest, La Jolla Medical Centers or East Campus Medical Center to promote a safe and secure environment for UC San Diego Health System/Enterprise community. Provides leadership and ensures compliance with quality service goals, services standards as well as Security & Medical Center policy and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient operations of the security management program. Participates in departmental budget planning and monitoring and will be able to assume duties in the Security Operations Center as needed. This includes but not limited to acknowledging and monitoring access control alarms, CCTV activity, monitoring/managing radio communications and the infant security systems. In addition to employee oversight, the Shift Supervisor is required to manage the daily shift schedules and conduct timely evaluations. Maintains daily document reviews to ensure all incident reports and daily activity reports are completed, thorough and grammatically correct. Oversight of employee/departmental equipment to ensure it is serviceable and well maintained. Ensures monthly training compliance and attendance are within departmental/Medical Center standards and issue appropriate disciplinary action as needed. This is a 24/7 operation, therefore, may be required to work weekends or part of the weekend. Must be available to rotate between day, swing, and graveyard shifts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $71,600 - $127,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $34.29 - $61.02 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
