The Sr. Marketing Manager - Content and Communications will lead the development and execution of our content strategy across multiple channels. The focus of this role will be on creating and managing high-impact content that strengthens our brand, supports sales enablement, and engages our audiences through website, PR, social media, and other owned and earned platforms. This role will oversee agency partners and internal contributors to ensure content is aligned with our brand voice and strategic goals. Collaborating closely with our internal agency (IMG) to ensure effective execution. You'll also play a key role in shaping how we communicate our value, using customer insights and performance data to guide decisions and continuously improve.

This role requires a structured thinker who can balance creativity with operational excellence. You should be confident managing multiple stakeholders, driving projects forward, and communicating clearly to influence and align across teams. This role will lead our talented team of Marketing Managers for North America, and our Graphic Design team ensuring all of our events, trade shows, and sales enablement efforts are on brand and aligned with our business objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

Content Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute a content strategy that aligns with brand, marketing, and sales goals.
  • Plan and deliver content across website, social media, PR, and sales enablement channels with consistency and impact.
  • Maintain a content calendar that supports campaign and business priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with the IMG to ensure effective execution

Brand & Messaging

  • Ensure all content reflects the IDEAL Electrical brand voice, tone, and positioning.
  • Support the development of brand narratives and messaging frameworks that resonate with target audiences.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging consistency across touchpoints.

Sales Enablement

  • Create and maintain content that supports the sales process, including case studies, product sheets, presentations, and playbooks.
  • Partner with sales and product teams to identify content gaps and opportunities.

Agency & Contributor Management

  • Manage external agencies and contractors as needed to deliver high-quality, on-brand content on time and within budget and/or provide scope of work to corporate marketing to manage required external agency support
  • Provide clear briefs, feedback, and direction to ensure alignment with strategy and standards.

Marketing Operations Team Management (CA and US)

  • Ensure annual marketing plans and quarterly tactical plans are developed and executed on time and on budget in collaboration with the product and corporate marketing teams
  • Plan and manage all in person events (contractor events, trade shows, IDEAL Connections, Philanthropic, etc.) and track impact and reach to maximize effectiveness

Graphic Design Team Management

  • Develop and execute strategic, integrated, and innovative design solutions across brand touchpoints including web, social media, email, advertising, packaging, and print.
  • Ensure team creates cohesive and impactful design executions across all marketing channels and events globally (USA, CA, EMEA).
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager in EMEA & Canada to support the various business objectives

Content Performance & Optimization

  • Track and report on content performance using relevant metrics (e.g. engagement, traffic, conversions).
  • Use insights to optimize content formats, topics, and distribution strategies.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and effective.
  • Align stakeholders to share insights across the BU and corporate marketing

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with digital, product, and sales teams to align content with broader marketing and business initiatives.
  • Support campaign development with compelling content that drives engagement and conversion.

Process & Workflow Improvement

  • Establish and maintain efficient content production workflows.
  • Continuously improve processes to increase speed, quality, and scalability of content delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10 years' experience in Marketing, including 3+ years managing a team
  • Proven experience in content strategy and execution across web, social, PR, and sales enablement.
  • Strong brief writing and creative direction capabilities.
  • Experience collaborating with external partners, agencies, and freelancers
  • Solid understanding of how graphic design and copy integrate to enhance content effectiveness.
  • Storyteller: Brings brand and product narratives to life through engaging, audience-relevant content.
  • Process Optimizer: Continuously improves content workflows and production efficiency.
  • Cross-Channel Awareness: Understands the nuances of different content channels (e.g. web, social, PR) and tailors content accordingly.
  • Background in B2B marketing, ideally in technical or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for content creation or optimisation.
  • Exposure to international markets and experience adapting content for global audiences.
  • Experience with full-funnel content planning.
  • Understanding of UX principles and how they influence content design.
  • Experience collaborating with sales teams on enablement content.
  • Familiar with SEO & GEO best practices and how to apply them to content planning and creation.

The expected salary for this position is between $123,257.00 and $166,092.00 and will be eligible for incentive pay. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position and actual compensation will be based on numerous factors including knowledge, location, skills, training and experience.
