About the role - you will:
As the Business Development Alliance manager, you will report to the Business Development Director - Hyperscale/Cloud and AI Storage. In this role, you will focus on new identified partners to expand Seagate's presence in emerging cloud trends, including Neo cloud and sovereign cloud. While this role may intersect with existing partner programs, its primary charter is to drive new alliances and articulate clear differentiation to avoid overlap. Your efforts will center on creating strategic business opportunities, fostering collaboration, and accelerating revenue growth through innovative partnerships. Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage net new partners in Neo cloud and sovereign cloud markets to drive joint business development initiatives.
- Develop and execute partnership strategies to expand Seagate's footprint in Neo cloud and sovereign cloud markets.
- Engage with ecosystem partners to drive the adoption of Seagate's storage solutions in emerging AI software use cases
- Identify and engage with key cloud ecosystem partners to drive joint business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with partners on go-to-market plans, joint offerings, and co-marketing activities to accelerate adoption of Seagate solutions.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to shape alliance strategies and maintain competitive advantage.
- Build executive-level relationships with net new partners to influence decision-making and create long-term value.
- Collaborate with channel teams to clarify ownership of strategic partners while focusing this role on new alliances.
- Work closely with internal teams (sales, marketing, product management) to align partner strategies with business objectives.
- Represent Seagate at industry events, conferences, and partner forums to strengthen brand presence and thought leadership.
- Educate ecosystem partners on the benefits and advantages of working closely with key hardware providers like Seagate.
About you:
- Strong understanding of emerging market trends, customer needs, and vertical applications.
- Proven success and expertise in partner and alliance business relationship management, with a track record of building and sustaining high-value partnerships.
- Exceptional collaboration skills with cross-functional teams to drive partnership development and revenue acceleration.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience educating ecosystem partners on technical solutions.
Your experience includes:
- Extensive experience in ecosystem engagement, solutions architecture, or related technical roles within the computing, storage, or related technology sectors.
- Strong background in market analysis, competitive positioning, and developing and managing complex partner relationships that drive measurable business outcomes.
- Proven experience working with ecosystem partners in the US.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (MBA preferred) or equivalent experience.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $180,000. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
