The Opportunity

The Attorney Recruiting Assistant provides assistance to the Attorney Recruiting department by performing a variety of administrative tasks.




  • Assists department with administrative tasks, projects and events including filing, printing and/or scanning documents, photocopying, compiling documents for packets/binders and preparing name tags.



  • Enters candidates in recruiting database and keeps the recruiting process organized.



  • Provides assistance at summer associate events as needed.



  • Assists with preparing orientation schedules for summer associates.



  • Maintains RSVP lists for events.



  • Assists with conference room scheduling and coordination with Conference Services team.



  • Greets and escorts candidates to interviewer offices/ follow up meetings.



  • Assists with preparing agendas and planning events for Hiring Committee meetings.



  • Assist with on campus recruiting tasks.



  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.



  • Manages Firm resources responsibly.



  • Regular and reliable physical presence to (ex: work as part of a team, meet with clients, use on-site equipment, etc.)



  • Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies and procedures.



  • Performs other related duties as assigned.





Qualifications




  • Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel) with the ability to learn new software and operating systems



  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing



  • Demonstrates close attention to detail



  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities



  • Able to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality



  • Ability to organize and prioritize work



  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment



  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team



  • Ability to interpret and follow instructions



  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs





Education & Experience




  • High school diploma or equivalent



  • Minimum of six months of administrative experience in a professional environment
