Overview

Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Quality Specialist, supporting TOS II, at Arnold Engineering Development Complex (AEDC) in Tullahoma, Tennessee. The Procurement Quality Specialist will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for maintaining and supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have proven experience in implementation and maintenance of a compliant, efficient, and effective Quality Management System (QMS) which includes supporting tools, procedures, and processes. Additionally, maintain the integrity of the QMS through configuration control of enterprise documentation and maintenance of forms and records.

Job Duties:

    Reviews material requisitions including technical specifications with respect to quality requirements, working closely with Acquisitions and Engineering.
  • Manage and perform material receipt inspections and document results within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Manage and process nonconforming material received from vendors/suppliers to include disposition.
  • Maintain BNH Approved Manufacturers List (AML); and perform audits and inspections of vendor/supplier facilities.
  • Develop skills and capabilities for receipt inspections at the GSUs.
  • Develop metrics for key processes that can be used to manage and improve performance.
  • Responsible for implementation and maintenance of Technical Receiving Inspection Reporting process.
  • Lead and/or participate in independent audits, process surveillances, assessments, and inspections across the TOS work scope.
  • Enter Corrective Action Requests (CARs) for any identified noncompliant conditions in a comprehensive Closed Loop Corrective Action program and track from initiation to closure.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System through configuration control of documentation and maintenance of appropriate records.
  • Responsible for implementation of one or more aspects of the quality management program.
  • Support the development and improvement of processes, procedures, methodologies and systems that support enterprise health reporting.
  • It is a condition of employment to wear company issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy.
  • Perform other related duties related to Mission Assurance function as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree with a minimum of 2 years of progressive and relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and progressive and relevant experience.
  • Pre-employment drug screening required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and maintain access to the AEDC local area network.
  • Current U. S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active security clearance
  • Knowledge of/experience within Acquisitions, supply chain or procurement related function.
  • Quality professional certifications (ASQ or equivalent) related to Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Auditing, or related.
  • AS9100 or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality program requirements and the implementation thereof, as evidenced by continued proficiency in exercising assigned responsibilities.
  • Knowledge and experience applying industry standards pertinent to the AEDC TOS domain.
  • Skilled in communicating effectively both orally and in writing with senior managers and customer senior leadership.
  • Experience with and a detailed understanding of DoD customers and the requirements and expectations of Aerospace and Defense customers, both government and commercial.
  • Possesses an ANSI/ASME Level I certification indicating a capability to perform and document the results of inspections or tests that are required in accordance with documented procedures, accepted standards, and/or industry practices.
