Your opportunity

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer Intern to join our Connected Communities Team in Peachtree City, GA. You'll be responsible for designing and supporting our outdoor and sports lighting products.

What you'll do

  • Prototype and build Proof-of-Concepts
  • Test and evaluate lighting fixtures and various critical electrical/mechanical components
  • Write ECNs (Engineering Change Notice) to document changes to products
  • Support post-sales technical issues and resolve quality issues related to components or manufacturing; troubleshoot field related technical issues
  • Write executive summaries to communicate issues and resolutions to management
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and implement factory tests

What you'll need

  • Currently in pursuit of a Bachelors' or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Demonstrate basic mechanical design approaches and capabilities
  • Have basic knowledge of various material and their structural and thermal properties
  • Be able to multitask

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

Pay Rate: $23 - $29 per hour (based on year of study)
