For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.com POSITION SCOPE The Recruiter plays a key role in connecting our hiring needs with qualified talent by building strong relationships both internally and externally. This position will develop partnerships with construction organizations, educational institutions, and technical and trade schools to create a robust pipeline of candidates. In addition to sourcing and outreach, the Recruiter will conduct interviews daily to assess and select top talent. The role also involves representing the company at hiring events and regularly traveling to job sites and locations across our Northern and Southern operations. PRIMARY DUTIES
- Active in multi-state traveling (30-40%)
- Organize and attend off-site recruitment events in company markets such college/technical campuses, job fairs, etc.
- Create and cultivate relationships with high schools to enable interaction with youth to generate interest and educate on the bright future and opportunities in construction
- Network and work closely with organizations which promote and facilitate careers in construction
- Work closely with workforce agencies and partners through effective affirmative action outreach
- Sources and attracts qualified candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and referrals
- Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria as well as to understand hiring demands and desired skill sets to fulfill workforce needs, which may include visiting jobsites
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes
- Maintains job postings and records in the ATS accurately dispositioning of application.
- Screens applications and select qualified candidates
- Assists in scheduling and preparing for interviews including interview questions and other hiring and selection materials as well as participating
- Attending and conducting interviews with hiring managers
- Maintains a high level of communication with hiring managers, providing guidance relating to recruiting process including conducting periodic follow-up with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting efforts
- Perform additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Preferred bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in recruitment, specifically within the construction industry
- Must be at a minimum of 18 years of age
- Possesses a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Pre-employment drug test
- Bilingual preferred
- Must be a self-starter taking initiative to build internal and external relationships facilitating a network and pipeline to acquire potential qualified candidates
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement in the sourcing of candidates and positive candidate experience
- Proven track record of successfully filling positions across various functions and levels
- Outgoing, friendly, and approachable with strong ability to be a collaborative team member.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to various states/job sites where the Company performs work.
- Presents a positive image that reflects well on the organization
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced, result-driven environment.
- Ability to prioritize work to meet goals or deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Position requires strict confidentiality and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
