2. Implement and refine basic prompts and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) workflows using Azure OpenAI/OpenAI under guidance, including simple tests and documentation of assumptions and limitations.
3. Develop and maintain small data preparation scripts, feature notebook prototypes, and basic model-serving examples on Databricks and Azure, following team coding standards.
4. Help embed AI capabilities into existing applications and workflows through connectors, extensions, and automation so users can act within the tools they already use.
5. Actively build and deploy software through version control, code reviews, and simple CI/CD pipelines; learn how MLOps and monitoring are used to keep AI services reliable and trustworthy.
6. Learn and apply "trust through design" principles by following secure-by-design patterns, identity-aware access control, logging, and privacy/GxP-by-default practices in assigned work.
7. Contribute clear documentation (readme files, diagrams, notes) that help others understand how prototypes and services are intended to be used.

3. Foundational proficiency in Python and SQL, including experience working with APIs or web services in projects or coursework.
4. Exposure to cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and interest in learning Databricks for data preparation, feature pipelines, and model development.
5. Familiarity with or strong interest in Azure OpenAI/OpenAI, prompt engineering, and RAG-style solutions, including understanding when humans should stay in the loop.
6. Interest in integrating AI capabilities into Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, or Power BI to surface insights and actions within existing workflows.
7. Awareness of secure-by-design and privacy principles, with a willingness to learn and apply them in day-to-day work to build trust in AI solutions.
8. Demonstrated proficiency in digital tools and technology, including Microsoft applications and mobile platforms, with the ability to adapt and leverage emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to improve efficiency, automation, and collaboration.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Previous internship, co-op, or significant project experience in software development, data engineering, or data science.
