Logistics: BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina - About Us | BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina

Location: This position is full-time (40-hours/week) Monday-Friday. You will work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 4:00AM - 4:30PM in/outside. It may be necessary, given the business need to work occasional overtime. You may be required to travel between buildings. This role is located onsite at 3060 Alpine Road, Columbia, SC 29223.

What You'll Do:

  • Receives and prepares incoming accountable mail for internal distribution. Processes outgoing priority mail for overnight and or second day delivery. Reconciles and processes express mail invoices for payment. Understands and executes delivery schedule. Provides prompt, courteous delivery to customers. Obtain signatures for goods delivered. Processes requests for record service.
  • Processes orders. Receives shipping orders. Pulls inventory. Prepares packages for delivery.
  • Receives deliveries. Verifies accuracy. Prepares inventory receiving reports. Barcode receipts into and out of the inventory system. Places inventory in assigned warehouse location.

To Qualify for This Position, You'll Need the Following:

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Required Work Experience: 1 year work experience in a team environment.
  • Required Skills and Abilities: Good judgment. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to move up to 70 pounds.
  • Required Training: Must have a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record. No major traffic violations in the past three years or no more than one minor moving traffic violation. At least three years of documented driving experience.
  • Required Software and Other Tools: Standard office equipment.
  • Required Licenses and Certificates: Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination. Must have a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record. No major traffic violations in the past three years or no more than one minor moving traffic violation. At least two years of documented driving experience.

We Prefer That You Have the Following:

  • Preferred Work Experience: 1 year-warehouse experience.
  • Preferred Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of warehouse equipment to include forklift and pallet jack. Knowledge of BCBSSC corporate and its subsidiaries.
  • Work Environment: Periods of constant standing. Frequent travel between office buildings. Occasional exposure to noise, dust or heat.
