Location: Hybrid Jacksonville, FL

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8-5



SUMMARY


Responsible for delivering accelerated account growth through a focused and targeted sales strategy based on the customers' needs and their desired results. Serve as the customer facing subject matter expert in cold-chain transportation, offering guidance on temperature-sensitive logistics solutions, regulatory compliance, and best practices to ensure product integrity for customers requiring specialized handling.



ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Responsible for managing and growing revenue with all existing growth accounts through an intimate understanding of their company, business objectives and long-term strategies.
  • Identify and deliver new customers consistent with the company's expectations and needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with all key decision makers. Collaborate with all growth agents and field sales to identify needs, strengths and opportunities for business development and account growth.
  • Leverage subject matter expertise for all Landstar's current portfolio of services, modes and technology.


  • Immerse yourself in networking opportunities, trade shows, transportation and other industry associations.
  • Active engagement in ongoing professional development and participation in cold-chain logistics industry associations, conferences, or certification programs to maintain expertise and stay informed of evolving standards and technologies.


  • Provide sales leadership to agents and Landstar field organization.


  • Utilize all available resources to prospect, penetrate, and close new business; leverage Landstar tools and technology.


  • Evangelize Salesforce current and future processes that are created to support corporate sales; be the early adopter and SME for sales team as this integration evolves.
  • Leverage Salesforce database and all other reporting functions to maximize the 360 views of the accounts under management while increasing organization awareness of customers.
  • Develop a planned sales cycle for all key assigned accounts.


  • Travel - as required to accomplish your objectives and meet the essential responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent experience


  • Two years' transportation-related sales experience



PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's degree in transportation & logistics or business-related field
  • Experience in selling in the pharmaceutical sector and related industries
  • Two years' experience selling cold chain services to Fortune 500 accounts



REQUIRED SKILLS



  • Strong oral and written communication skills


  • Ability to read, interpret and understand contract language
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience leveraging the use of a CRM platform to facilitate the sales process.
