Position Summary
The Senior Regional Director is a key executive leader responsible for driving strategic growth and operational excellence across the East or West U.S. region. This role oversees multiple Regional Directors and their teams, ensuring alignment with Nilfisk's overall business objectives. The Senior Regional Director will lead efforts to expand market share, manage high-profile accounts, and deliver on regional sales and profitability targets by leveraging the full Nilfisk product portfolio, including Floorcare and Industrial Vacuum solutions.

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping go-to-market strategies, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and building a high-performing sales organization. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a proven track record of managing complex sales operations and driving sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Sales Management

  • Define and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue, margin, and market penetration goals across all channels (Dealer, Strategic Accounts, Government, End User, Alternative).
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Regional Directors, ensuring development and execution of comprehensive regional business plans.
  • Oversee high-profile accounts and strategic partnerships at the executive level to maximize Nilfisk's presence and influence in the market.
  • Drive cross-selling initiatives across brands and business units to optimize portfolio performance.

Operational Excellence

  • Establish clear performance objectives, KPIs, and accountability frameworks for Regional Directors and their teams.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to assess progress, identify opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure full geographical, segment, and product coverage within the assigned region.

Dealer & Channel Development

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with dealer networks, ensuring alignment with Nilfisk's growth objectives.
  • Approve dealer agreements and oversee network optimization, including competitive displacement strategies.
  • Champion initiatives to enhance dealer capabilities and customer engagement.

Talent Development & Leadership

  • Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier sales leadership talent.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Build succession plans and leadership pipelines to support long-term organizational growth.

Financial & Budgetary Oversight

  • Manage regional P&L, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, and expense control.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources, including demo inventory and travel budgets.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on regional performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Customer Care, and Finance to drive integrated business strategies.
  • Contribute to new product development initiatives and go-to-market planning.
  • Support corporate programs related to market intelligence, customer experience, and brand positioning.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive sales leadership experience, including multi-region management and team development.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a complex, multi-channel environment.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and decision-making capabilities.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the region.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).

The estimated pay range indicates the expected annualized base pay range for this position. In addition to the base pay, our Regional Sales positions also providea competitive bonus structure, company vehicle, company phone, and gas card.The actual pay offered may vary based on several factors, including the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, unique skills, education level, certifications or licenses, and the location from which they will work. The final pay determination will comply with state or local minimum wage laws applicable to the job's location. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
