JOB SUMMARY This paragraph summarizes the general nature, level and purpose of the job. Reporting to the Director of Access, theprimary purposeof the Program Manager, Access Strategy is to lead the execution of enterprise-wide access strategies by fostering collaboration across community and faculty sites. This role aligns access goals with clinical and strategic priorities, facilitates cross-functional initiatives, and drives the implementation of innovative scheduling and referral solutions. The position ensures that access improvements are consistent, data-driven, scalable, and responsive to the needs of patients and providers across the care continuum. Must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the hospital's policies and procedures, including its Service Standards and its Code of Conduct. *Lead cross-functional access programs, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and clinical priorities. *Monitor compliance with access standards across specialties and sites, addressing inconsistencies and driving adherence to established policies. *Partner with operational leaders, physicians, and consultants to develop and implement innovative scheduling and referral solutions, including self-scheduling and other digital tools. *Facilitate cross-specialty workgroups and coordinate action plans to standardize processes and improve patient access. *Use data-driven analysis to identify barriers, evaluate project outcomes, and implement improvements to patient flow and resource utilization. *Apply program management methodologies to plan, execute, and monitor access improvement projects, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope. *Lead change management efforts for access initiatives, including communication, training, and stakeholder engagement. *Collaborate with vendors and Operational Transformation teams to support organization-wide access improvement initiatives. *Assess resource allocation and mitigate risks associated with access roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives. *Support the transition of operational responsibilities from practice administrators to a standardized, centralized access management function. *Other duties as assigned. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field (Master's preferred). Experience: Minimum 5 years in healthcare operations, preferably ambulatory access or scheduling. Project management experience required. License/Certification: None required. Epic certified or PMP preferred. KNOWLEDGE These are the observable and measurable attributes and skills required to perform successfully the essential functions of the job and are generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education or licensure/certification. * Knowledge of access operations, scheduling workflows, and project & program management methodologies. *Ability to align access goals with clinical priorities and enterprise objectives. *Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to influence physicians and operational leaders. *Skilled in data-driven analysis, identifying operational barriers, and implementing process improvements. *Ability to lead change management efforts and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization with a focus on relationship building, leadership and influence. *Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting, presenting, and collaborating with diverse teams. *Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organization and across multiple specialties and sites.
