Auria is looking to hire a Systems Architect to support the C2BMC program. This role is ONSITE in Huntsville, AL.
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is an essential part of the Missile Defense System. It provides a critical operational platform that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and tactical levels to systematically plan missile defense operations, monitor battle progress, and actively control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC offers a layered missile defense capability, delivering an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It functions as a force multiplier by connecting, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations both worldwide and locally to improve overall performance. Additionally, C2BMC is a key component of all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the missile defense system's current and future capabilities.
We are seeking a highly motivated and seasoned Staff Engineer Systems Architect to lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge system architectures for a mission-critical DoD program. You will be responsible for overseeing the development of integrated solutions that leverage advanced software technologies and meet stringent operational requirements. This position offers opportunities to lead technical efforts, apply transformative engineering practices, and work closely with cross-functional teams in a collaborative, innovative environment.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Serve as a Systems Architect for a complex Command and Control DoD program.
- Architect systems that integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) components to meet program demands, ensuring DoD interoperability standards are met
- Lead cross-disciplinary teams to identify and develop system capabilities, ensuring accurate and timely communication to software developers, engineers, stakeholders, and end users
- Generate and manage system engineering and architecture artifacts, such as specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), use cases, system architecture designs, and trade studies
- Spearhead technical problem-solving efforts, including root cause analysis and solutions during system testing
- Provide technical leadership for product infrastructure development, including management of BM/SRM software to ensure effective communication across system components
- Translate system and stakeholder requirements into actionable technical architectures and development strategies
- Present architecture solutions, technical overviews, and design approaches to DoD stakeholders at Customer Design Reviews and other technical briefings
- Experience leading efforts requiring interdisciplinary collaboration, working with tools for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) such as Cameo Systems Modeler
- Working knowledge of system integration in distributed systems, with familiarity in cloud solutions like VMWare, Nutanix, and RedHat
- Familiarity with DoD Cybersecurity requirements and frameworks, including knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF) and solutions for ensuring secure system architectures
- Experience implementing Digital Engineering Transformation (DET) methodologies and applying DevSecOps pipelines to systems development
- Proven expertise in managing and converting large systems into containerized architectures and services using tools like Docker and Kubernetes (or equivalent)
- Proficiency and hands-on experience using modern requirements management tools, such as DOORS or similar platforms
- Hands-on knowledge of high-reliability, scalable software application management and system optimization techniques
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement solutions for automated regression testing environments to support system or software lifecycle validation
- Familiarity with integration and operational use of Link 16 or similar tactical datalink systems
