Infrastructure/Network Architect with Azure
Job description
Job Summary: Dexian is seeking a Infrastructure/Network Architect with Azure for an opportunity with a client located in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities:
- Create foundational network designs using patterns like hub-and-spoke, or more advanced solutions like Azure Virtual WAN
- Set up secure connections between on-premises networks and Azure, often using Azure ExpressRoute for high-bandwidth connections or Azure VPN Gateway for site-to-site VPNs
- Configure and manage core Azure networking services like Azure Virtual Network, Azure Application Gateway, and Azure Traffic Manager to manage traffic flow and security
- Implement security controls through network security groups, Azure Firewall, and Azure Policies to protect resources and manage access, often working within the Azure landing zone architecture
- Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into robust technical solutions that meet objectives for scalability, security, and cost-efficiency
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of IP addressing, routing, and other core networking concepts
- Deep knowledge of services like Azure Virtual Network, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Application Gateway, and Virtual WAN
- Adherence to frameworks like the Azure Well-Architected Framework and the Cloud Adoption Framework
- Experience with hybrid architectures and integrating cloud with on-premises infrastructure
- Familiarity with automation tools and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) to manage and deploy network resources at scale
- End to end infrastructure design, solution design work, experience with Azure, and with SAN Design/Storage Network Fabrics
- Leads and coordinates routines to support delivery of large programs, such as kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates
- Broadens relationships with business and technology leaders across multiple organizations, as well as Compliance and Risk
- Establishes target outcomes in partnership with stakeholders and leaders
- Tracks success metrics and provides status updates to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to the target outcomes, delivery, performance, risks, issues, and schedule
- Collaborates with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements
- Ensures adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards
