Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate.

The Global Health Implementation Science Team (GHIST) Lab, within the Section for Global Health at the Institute for Excellence in Health Equity (IEHE), is seeking a Research Data Associate (RDA) to support multiple implementation science research studies in global health. The RDA will work closely with the Project Manager and Research Scientist to coordinate study activities, ensure high-quality data management, and support daily research operations. The position will involve contributions to NIH-funded projects focused on global health, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, HIV management, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of global health and clinical research processes, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and be able to work independently with minimal oversight.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of policies and procedures of clinical research administration, including the regulatory requirements such as IRB and other approvals.
  • Develop manuscripts for publications as well as presentations at national conferences; Contributes to the preparation of articles on research outcomes and progress for publication.
  • Assist in the development of sponsor-related reports on study related progress: (e.g., data and safety monitoring committee, the principal investigator, sponsoring agency, etc.)
  • Provide direct project support and coordination of activities, as needed, to achieve study aims and meet deliverables and deadlines.
  • Coordinate activities and meetings across multiple projects and provide administrative support services
  • Prepares figures and diagrams for presentations and publications
  • Participates in the editing and proofing of grant proposals, annual grant reports, and manuscripts for publication
  • Compilesdataandassistsinconsolidatingandanalyzingdataforpresentation tosponsoringandregulatoryagencies.
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and team building efforts for GHIST interns
  • Demonstrate interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in English to effectively communicate, collaborate, and establish and maintain good working relationships with a diverse population of multi-disciplinary researchers, faculty, and staff.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree plus two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills. Strong interest in global health, especially within Africa. Ability to work with minimal direction and on a self-directed basis as well as in a team setting. Willingness to learn and accept feedback. Experience with Microsoft office (Powerpoint) and Data analysis tools (SPSS, Dedoose).

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $51,236.15 - $51,236.16 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
