Overview
As a Financial Analyst at Netsmart, you will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to develop strong analytical skills, gain exposure to business operations, and contribute to financial planning and performance management. You will collaborate with finance, operations, and leadership teams to provide insights that help drive growth and profitability.

What You'll Do

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting
    • Compile and analyze financial data for a specific business segment.
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy.
    • Develop revenue and expense forecasts, financial models, and performance reports.
    • Assist with financial forecasting and internal account reconciliations.
    • Identify trends and insights in the competitive landscape to inform business strategy.
  • Business Support & Insights
    • Provide ad-hoc analysis to explain performance drivers and variances.
    • Support the collection and distribution of KPIs and reporting metrics.
    • Collaborate with corporate FP&A and regional controllers to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
    • Contribute to materials for monthly operating reviews and strategic planning sessions.
  • Planning & Strategic Exposure
    • Assist in the development of annual operating plans and financial forecasts.
    • Provide input for sales, marketing, and service teams to align with financial targets.
    • Help interpret industry and competitor trends in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (recent grads welcome).
  • Internship or academic project experience in financial analysis, ideally in healthcare or software.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, modeling).
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze financial information for a business segment
  • Develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations
  • Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately
  • Identify trends and developments in competitive environments
  • Perform financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts

Qualifications
Required

  • Ability to work onsite in Overland Park, KS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 2 years' financial analysis experience in the healthcare or software industry
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent financial analysis, business writing, and communication skills
