Acara Solutions seeks a Senior Advanced Software Engineer for our client in Annapolis Junction, MD.

  • As a software engineer, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for the development and delivery of a complex system critical to our customer mission.
  • Develop and enhance software within a complex, multi-component system.
  • Collaborate across a cross-functional engineering team.
  • Apply modern development practices to improve performance and reliability.
  • Support complete software development lifecycle activities.
  • Ensure solutions meet mission and system requirements.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Technology or Mathematics.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Embedded Software in a Linux environment.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with Qt/C++/UI at a mature production level.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with Drivers and interfaces to COTS devices and FPGAs.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with Optics/RF Devices.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree.
  • Agile experience.
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated success leading the software development life cycle.
  • Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the capacity to secure buy-in on concepts and ideas.
  • Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
