About the Role:
This position is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse-related duties such as receiving and storage of goods, preparing orders for shipment by picking items from shelves and placing them in totes, and ensuring that orders are filled accurately and efficiently, continually striving for improved customer satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
- Verifies merchandise received against receiving documents, notes and reports discrepancies and any obvious damages and enters receipts into ERP system.
- Put away received inventory into correct locations in the warehouse.
- Pick, pack and ship orders for customer shipments.
- Pick and deliver orders for manufacturing assembly jobs.
- Performs daily counting and researching of discrepancies.
- Assists with inventory procedures as requested.
- Maintains a clean work area to help ensure that merchandise remains clean and to help prevent work related injuries.
- Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures and safety rules
- Must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory.
- Assist in order pulls
- Have a good overall understanding of distribution center workflow and can work with minimal guidance.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Competencies:
- Ability to read and understand product descriptions, names and shelf labels.
- Basic computer knowledge for purpose of data entry into ERP and other computer programs.
- Ability to operate equipment such as reach truck, picker machine, forklift, etc.
- Experience with UPS and FedEx is an asset.
- Must possess basic mathematical skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills.
- Ability to help train and assist associates when needed.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED or combination of experience and education.
- 2-3 years equivalent work experience.

- Visual requirement is for close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
