POSITION SUMMARY:

We're looking for a dynamic Consumer Insights professional who can drive business results with market intel, be ready to challenge the status quo and work with speed/agility in today's demanding marketplace. As a Consumer Insights Manager, you'll have the opportunity to fuel our Global Culinary Kitchen Division business, focusing on our savory cooking solutions portfolio.

The ideal candidate would be able to balance short-term/long-term business volume drivers, diagnose brand challenges with an eye toward growth and maintain our leadership position.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership & Consulting:

* Strategic Brand Leadership: Serve as a strategic thought partner to brand management, acting as the brand "navigator" to guide decision-making and direction. Collaborate with business partners to uncover and interpret key business drivers, competitive challenges, and both short- and long-term growth opportunities.
* Consumer-Centric Insight Development: Champion the voice of the consumer by building empathy and understanding across teams. Effectively communicating existing consumer knowledge and leading the development and execution of actionable learning plans.
* Holistic Consumer View: Partner with insights functions across Consumer, Analytics, and Shopper, fostering a unified team perspective.
* Thought Leadership: Communicate existing climate, identify behavior shifts, and bring to life trends and platforms to drive opportunities.

Brand Insights:

* Portfolio Strategy: Focus on driving high-value, high-impact work by leveraging consumer insights to enhance the full brand portfolio.
* Consumer Storytelling: Synthesize diverse research sources-including market data, syndicated studies, and custom research-to build a comprehensive and compelling consumer story. This approach ensures that insights are not only informative but also actionable and aligned with strategic goals.
* Decision-Making Catalyst: Tailor research findings to support upcoming decisions, ensuring that insights are communicated in a business-appropriate format that drives winning strategies. The research agenda will be aligned with business partners' decision-making processes to maximize relevance and impact.

Learning Plan Focus & Efficiency

* Strategic Planning: Focus on clearly defining business partners' objectives, aligning the learning plans, and tailoring communications of findings to guide key decisions.
* Vendor Relationships: Manage supplier relationships to maximize insights and foster indispensable partnerships.

Financial/Strategic Impact:
* Business Impact: Assist in achieving corporate objectives on market share, sales volume growth, brand health, return on investment and product performance

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:

* Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Economics, Psychology, Sociology or related field required; MBA preferred
* Minimum of 5+ years of marketing research experience with budget responsibility in a consumer packaged goods company.
* Strong drive for results with a passion for the consumer and marketing.
* Business-owner vs. researcher mindset
* High proficiency in syndicated and custom data knowledge (Nielsen, Circana) is a must.
* Possess ability to navigate ambiguity; proactive problem-solving approach is essential.
* Demonstrated strategic mindset that drives business growth and innovative solutions.
* Experience in selecting appropriate, diverse research methodologies, designing research studies, and trying new methods when appropriate
* Strong sense of curiosity and desire to seek opportunities to self-educate on new methodologies, techniques, general research and business news.
* Ability to influence across multiple levels in an organization, including global stakeholders.
