Job Description:

The Wireless Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Tech Staff Engineer - Design to manage functional safety and CRA compliant projects. In this role, you will provide technical leadership and assist SoC project leads from all sites to ensure functional safety/CRA compliant SoC project for high-performance, low-power wireless SoC and attach solutions. Successful candidate requires strong collaboration across sites and functions, excellent communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and direction to product development teams, focusing on implementing functional safety and CRA into product, or to adapt an existing product to meet functional safety/CRA requirements.

  • Maintain and develop necessary documentation and checklist related to functional safety compliance for SoC project

  • Drive continuous improvement within the Business Units to develop ISO26262 and/or IEC61508 compliant work products.

  • Define a product execution strategy for ISO 21434( automotive cybersecurity) and IEC 62443(industrial cybersecurity) + EU CRA( European Union Cybersecurity Resilience Act) standards compliance.

  • Experience with RTL integration, functional verification, and timing closure of SoCs.

  • Derive the SEooC architecture top level requirements based on research and customer interaction

  • Coordinate functional safety deliverables (FMEDA) from external or internal macro providers

  • Be the central resource for first point of contact for any questions pertaining to a functional safety and CRA compliant project

Requirements/Qualifications:

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's in an engineering discipline plus 12+ years' experience with ISO26262 and/or IEC61508 compliant SoC development or a Master's in an engineering discipline plus 10+ years' experience with ISO26262 and/or IEC61508 compliant SoC development
  • Familiarity with semiconductor devices such as Microcontroller Units (MCUs), Power Management Units, Communication Interfaces, Error Control and Coding
  • Experience with Confirmation Reviews of ISO26262 and/or IEC61508 Work Products
  • Experience with Functional Safety Audits and Assessments
  • Familiarity with IATF-16949
  • Familiarity with ISO21434 and IEC62443 Work Products
  • Familiarity with automotive safety systems
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
