The Production Manager supervises cylinder fill plant operations to ensure the safe and efficient production of gaseous products. This position provides leadership to the plant production team, which covers the filling of industrial-grade, research-grade, specialty mixes up to primary grade, medical devices, diving gasses, breathing air, and other blends.

  • Coordinate cylinder requirements with region branches

  • Trains and develops assigned personnel. Responsible for conducting timely and quality performance appraisals of assigned personnel with the Plant Manager. Recommends disciplinary action up to and including termination of plant personnel.

  • Delegates or directly directs and coordinates plant activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize production.

  • Develops plant goals and works with and through subordinate associates to achieve results. Works with the Plant Manager to achieve goals.

  • Follows and maintains all FDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT requirements and regulations.

  • Maintain all required computer and hand-generated paperwork

  • Reports any equipment or facility defects to management.

  • Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technological developments in the industry.

  • Responsible for the safety and safety practices of assigned personnel.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Two years of prior demonstrated management or leadership experience.

  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.

  • Strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of leveraging metrics and related tools to improve production efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Demonstrated planning, interpersonal, leadership skills.

  • Knowledge of safety programs, OSHA, EPA, DOT and FDA and all related regulations and procedures.

  • Must be able to read and comprehend all written documentation and instructions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Minimumof five (5) years of experience in sales and/or distribution of gases and welding supplies or similar industrial products .

  • At least one year of filling compressed gas cylinders experience.

  • Prior experience with SAP, Power BI and Planning Production Module computer programs.

  • At least one year of forklift experience.
