Primary Function
The incumbent will act as internal SAP business consultant and design architect for complex SAP/technical solutions within a specific process area. Work focuses on identifying and analyzing integrated business needs, conducting requirements gathering and defining scope and objectives for SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications integrated with business process/data and IT infrastructure. Responsibilities
Act as internal consultant and design architect for SAP solutions within specific modules. Partner with peers in the IT organization and fellow Functional Architects and Business Analysts to align business processes with solution design, leveraging the capabilities of the SAP modules. Responsible for the full systems development lifecycle from requirements gathering through implementation of various functional architecture solutions Translate overall business process requirements to SAP configuration Advise on the management of configuration and testing across the SAP environment Collaborate with Functional Architects and Business Analysts to ensure end to end process integration and consistency Support the identification of enhancement opportunities to standardize/improve processes and system configuration that supports the customer-focused approach, ensuring compliance to the business management goals and objective Develop, prototype, test and implement solution improvements to increase stability, usability and functionality to enable end users to meet business objectives Lead and support project initiatives to expand the usage of the SAP solution to improve and expand processes across the enterprise Understand non-SAP business systems and their interaction with SAP. Assist in the management of those systems as part of an overall solution portfolio Provides functional support and leadership to our SAP User Community including: interaction with Third-Party Support Providers, definition of SOPs, gathering business requirements, documenting functional designs and specifications, and evaluating / directing enhancements Researches and analyzes basic and complex issues surrounding our business processes and systems Collaborate with Master Data Management team to provide solution architecture input on strategy and initiatives to support management reporting requirements Mentor business and functional team members to increase their competency in SAP Support RFID implementation project as it is implemented at additional business unit Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering with 8 years experience or Masters of Science degree with 5 years of experience MBA Preferred in related field 5+ years in functional configuration/experience in SAP consulting, systems integration, or architecture role At least 3 lifecycle implementations of SAP SAP S/4 HANA preferred Experience supporting manufacturing plant personnel with day-to-day ERP systems processes Flexibility, adaptability and process improvement approach Have a good understanding of SAP best practices Expert in analyzing, creating system specifications and developing tests, implementing business solutions and utilizing SAP technologies Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Must have good communication skills and proven ability to meet deadlines without compromising quality Strong written and verbal communications Experience managing projects and working with a team Ability to assess and manage technical risks and issues Education
