About Our Client

Our client is a family-owned e-commerce business selling equipment nationwide. While they maintain a showroom, their business is now 99% online . While they partner with outside agencies, it is their goal to bring a professional who is dedicated to their business, in-house to oversee a monthly spend of 250K on paid advertising. This professional will be tapped to elevate acquisition strategy, uncover new growth channels, and serve as the internal authority on paid performance. This is a hands-on role with no direct reports.

Overview

  • Our client is seeking a Paid Growth Marketing Manager who is a hands-on performance marketer with 3-5+ years of PPC experience. This person will thrive in execution and data analysis, rather than managing a team. They will "roll up their sleeves," dive into campaign details, and drive results through hands-on optimization.
  • The Paid Growth Marketing Manager will work directly with the owners and act as the internal expert on Paid Search, Paid Social, and performance marketing strategy.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as the in-house owner of performance marketing, overseeing strategy, execution, analysis, and vendor accountability.
  • Conduct deep analysis of the PPC ecosystem, and identify new strategies beyond Google
  • Review, QA, and challenge the work of the third-party media agency that is currently in place
  • Identify missed opportunities, inefficiencies, and gaps in current campaigns or strategies
  • Recommend and test new tools, platforms, channels, and acquisition approaches
  • Collaborate closely with the owners on performance insights and strategic decisions
  • Occasionally partner with the sales team to understand lead quality and conversions
  • Potentially help define a future junior marketing hire as long-term needs evolve

Day-to-Day Tasks

  • Build, optimize, and monitor paid search campaigns.
  • Review and adjust Google Ads structure, bid strategy, keywords, and ad creative.
  • Audit landing pages and customer journeys for conversion improvements.
  • Track trends, generate performance insights, and present recommendations.
  • Provide regular reporting to the owners and contracted CMO.
  • Maintain oversight of all external agencies and vendors.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of hands-on PPC experience, including campaign setup, optimization, and analysis.
  • Expertise working with large budgets.
  • Strong analytical abilities and the capability to translate data into action.
  • Experience managing or holding external vendors accountable.
  • A self-starter who enjoys tactical execution and detailed campaign work.
  • Ability to explain complex marketing concepts in simple terms to non-marketing-based owners.
  • Curious, resourceful, and eager to experiment with new growth tactics.
